Panchayat

A Panchayat is a collective body of elected representatives formed to manage the administration of Panchayati Raj institutions. In the context of a Grama Panchayat, it is the primary committee responsible for implementing the decisions of the Grama Sabha and handling day-to-day administration.The main components of a Panchayat are:President: The head of the Panchayat. They preside over meetings and oversee the overall activities of the Panchayat.Vice President: Undertakes duties in the absence of the President.Ward Members: Elected representatives from each ward within the Panchayat.Standing Committees: Sub-committees formed to streamline decision-making in specific areas such as finance, development, welfare, health, and education.
